Resumed Hearing
The independent Planning Inspetor resumes the Public Hearing on 15th May, at the Hilton National Hotel, Pinchington Lane, Newbury.
Public Meeting
Planning the Future of Newbury
Newbury Town Council held a public meeting entitled "Planning the Future of Newbury" on the evening of 7th December 2011.
Over 300 local residents packed the room at Newbury Rugby Club to hear why Sandleford is the wrong solution.

Who was there?
A long list of Apologies
The West Berkshire Council Portfolio Holder for Planning, Councillor Alan Law, was unable to attend.
The Head of Planning for West Berkshire Council was unable to attend, and advised that he felt the issue was of such importance that it would not be appropriate to send officers more junior than himself, so there were no Planning Policy Officers there either.
However, Cllr Dr Tony Vickers MRICS was there, and gave a very well-researched and effective presentation explaining why the selection of Sandleford as a strategic housing site is unsound and is of dubious legality. Click here to see Cllr Vickers' presentation.
No core strategy for the next few months is better than the wrong core strategy for the next 15 years.
