Next Sunday Walk
13th May 2012
Please join us for our next Sunday Walk this coming Sunday, 13th May. We will meet at the Falkland Memorial, Wash Common (opposite the shops) at 2pm.
The walk will last about an hour and will take in the beautiful scenery across Sandleford - scenery that is soon to be vovered in concrete, bricks and mortar.
Previous Sunday Walks
Our Sunday Weekly Walks have been very successful - and pleasurable, too.
Thank you to everyone who has come along, and we hope you have enjoyed the walks and the opportunity to view the beautiful Watership Down and the Sandleford countryside that is so close to our town.

Free Exhibition & Book Signing
Forty years of Watership Down
To commemorate the fortieth anniversary of his book, Watership Down, Richard Adams came to St George’s Church, Wash Common on 31 March to sign anniversary copies.
At the same time there was an exhibition of the beautiful paintings by Aldo Galli that were specially commissioned to illustrate the anniversary edition of the book.
Tours of Sandleford
As part of this special anniversary event, free tours of Sandleford departed every half an hour to show the beautiful landscape depicted in the book that is now under threat of being turned into a giant housing estate.
